About

Australis was formed in 2009 by Lucas Scott, Patrick Ruhland, Mike Thometz and Matt Joyce. Within months they released a two song demo and added Aaron Lott on bass. The band quickly gained local recognition for their blistering speed and spot on accuracy. In the spring of 2010 they recorded their first Zero Budget release entitled Eidolon, a four song EP that was received extremely well by the local scene and has helped the band pave their way across the country.

In 2011, guitarist Mike Thometz stepped down from guitar duties and Aaron Lott replaced him leaving the bass position open, which was quickly filled by Sal Giudice. The band has since toured the East Coast twice and will be recording a full length album to be released in 2012.
